Propeller Balancing Kit Rental
We offer the most complete Dynamic Propeller Balancing kit available for rental. The cost is $189 for a one-week rental, beginning when UPS tracking shows the kit as delivered to you.

Our kit includes more than just the balancer...we'll send nearly everything you need:
-
ACES 1015 Probalancer Sport
-
The ACES 1015 is more capable and user-friendly than legacy systems such as the DynaVibe Classic. For example, our ACES 1015 automatically calculates split-weight solutions and easily walks you through the balance process step-by-step. No math required. We also include custom hardware designed to quickly and easily mount the sensors to your airplane.
-
-
Extensive Nut, Bolt, and Weighted Washer Kit Included
-
Included is a wide selection of CAD-plated AN4 and #8 hardware for easy attachment to most flywheels and spinners. Keep whatever hardware you end up using to balance your airplane.
-
-
Current NIST Calibration Certificate
-
Current through routine servicing by ACES to NIST standards. Calibration documentation included. Accurate results for use on both certified and experimental aircraft.
-
-
Digital Precision Scale
-
Accurate to the hundredth of a gram and included to help you accurately install balance solutions.
-
-
Pre-Printed Logbook Entry & Spinner Sticker
-
Everything needed to document in accordance with Advisory Circular 20-37E is included.
-
-
Pre-Paid Return Label & Packaging
-
Once you are finished with the balancer, simply seal the case in the included return packaging, affix the included and pre-paid shipping label, and drop off the system at UPS.
-
-
FAA Accepted
-
The ACES 1015 Sport is one of the only systems specifically stated as "acceptable" by the FAA.

Dynamic propeller balancing can really make a difference. See these examples:
- Pilots Of America Forum Thread "The best bang for the buck in aircraft ownership."
- Vans Air Force PIREP "It was a world of difference...I took an acquaintance up and he called it "turbine smooth."
- Cessna Flyer Magazine "The benefits of propeller balancing greatly offset the cost. Reducing vibration helps reduce wear and fatigue, extending the service life of many components not only on the engine, but on the airframe itself."
- EAA 'Bits and Pieces' Newsletter " I feel that it was a worthwhile expenditure...now I know for certain that any potentially damaging vibration was reduced to an absolute minimum."

Frequently Asked Questions
-
How long does a balance job take?
-
Balancing usually takes three or four engine runs up to cruise RPM to find a perfect weight solution. This can be accomplished in as little as one hour.
-
-
How does dynamic balancing work?
-
The balancer measures the strength and location of your vibration source, and calculates weight to install at a specific location on your spinner or flywheel. With each engine run, the balancer tunes its formula to your specific airplane, making each run more accurate, smoother, and efficient.
-
-
Can I use the balancer to balance multiple aircraft during my rental period?
-
Yes! There is no additional charge - the balancer is yours to use during your rental. Our hardware kits generally include enough hardware to do five airplanes - if you need more, just let us know. We would be happy to supply extra hardware at no additional cost.
-
-
I am an A&P. Can I rent your balancer to use on customer aircraft?
-
Yes! We also include a copy of the current NIST calibration certificate for use with certified aircraft.
-
-
What happens if I can't complete my balance during the rental period due to weather?
-
Just let us know and we can extend your rental period for no additional charge.
-
-
Do I have to mail the balancer kit to the next customer after my rental?
-
No, balancers are returned to us after each rental for inspection, hardware replenishment, and service. Your address and other personal information will never be shared with another renter.
-
-
Do you charge a deposit to my bank or credit card?
-
No, there are no additional charges or statements other than the rental charge itself.
-
-
Can I contact you with technical questions or guidance on using the balancer?
-
Absolutely! Reach out via phone, text, email, or FaceTime seven days per week with any questions.
